Openings on the Lock Screen, with nothing to set up
Install the app and the openings start arriving. On the web, an iPhone can only send you a notification after you add the site to your Home Screen, and that step is the one almost nobody takes.
iPhone app
PermitSnag for iPhone carries the alerts you already have, opens Recreation.gov inside the app and remembers your sign-in, and counts your lottery deadlines down while the phone is in your pocket.
Almost there.
The app is on its way to the App Store. Set an alert on the web now and it will be waiting for you on the phone the day it lands.

Tap the opening and Recreation.gov loads inside the app, on the permit you were alerted about. Sign in there once and the app remembers your sign-in, so the next alert skips the login form until Recreation.gov ends the session.

Put a lottery closing date on your Lock Screen and watch the hours drop. Glance at your phone and you know exactly how long you have left to apply.
Sign in with the same account and the app picks up exactly where the website left off. Nothing to move across, nothing to set up twice.
Openings do not wait for you to open a laptop. Get them where you will actually see them.
