Last updated: 2026-04-28 --- The type of incident is Prescribed Fire and involves the following unit(s) San Bernardino National Forest. --- State: California --- Coordinates: Latitude: 34° 15 30 Longitude: 117° 29 17 --- NOTE: All fire perimeters and points are approximations. --- Incident Overview: Fuels crews on the San Bernardino National Forest are implementing prescribed fire operations in Lytle Creek. Work has begun and test fire was successful. Burn will continue as weather conditions allow and will continue for approximately 7 -10 days. Prescribed fires are one of the active forest management tools used to help reduce overgrown vegetation to help protect local communities, infrastructure and natural resources from wildfires.As of April 28th, 2026, 40 acres have been completed, and the remaining portion is being addressed today.
