Route choice for Grand Canyon Rim to River: North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out vs Bright Angel down to river camps with a South Kaibab exit?

Same permit day, two route ideas. Option A is North Kaibab to inner canyon camp with a next-day climb out. Option B is Bright Angel down to river camps with a South Kaibab exit. Current trail notes say: stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.. Any reason to favor one?
