Pre-dawn start on White Rim.
We went Shafer switchbacks into classic White Rim viewpoints starting at 6:00 AM. Sun was strong in exposed stretches by late morning. Most of the route was in stable shape w/ minor rough patches.
Midday light was harsh but the shadows added drama.
Overall 4/5. Difficulty 4/5. Scenery 4/5.
Plan accordingly.
