The alarm went off at 6:25 AM and I was already awake.
The route was Multi-week journey through the Grand Canyon. Rain events rare but dramatic when they hit. Side canyon hikes at famous stops. We had moderate company on the trail.
Bottom line: Bring the rain layer even if clear.
