White Rim was my first serious permit and it was amazing.
We went Shafer switchbacks into classic White Rim viewpoints starting at 5:35 AM. Morning temps were cool and almost windless. Road surface was hardpack with a few washboard sections.
Overall 4/5. Difficulty 5/5. Scenery 5/5.
Plan accordingly.
