White Rim with the kids.
We went Shafer switchbacks into classic White Rim viewpoints starting at 5:35 AM. Morning temps were cool and almost windless. Most of the route was in stable shape with minor rough patches.
Short version: Backup headlamp batteries.
Plan accordingly.
