We went Cottonwood Cove access to main formations starting at 6:25 AM. Spring and fall offered best conditions. No maintained trail, navigation skills required.
Gear that worked: Hiking boots, Paper map.
GPS and offline maps absolutely essential.
TLDR: Wave at other hikers.
