Animal encounters made Coyote Buttes South special.
We went Cottonwood Cove access to main formations starting at 6:25 AM. Spring and fall offered best conditions. Sand and slickrock mix, GPS essential.
Wildlife/nature notes: Occasional snake sightings near warm rocks.
Would do again in a heartbeat.
