The alarm went off at 5:35 AM and I was already awake.
We took Shafer start with a clockwise White Rim line with solo. Started around 5:35 AM when morning temps were cool and almost windless. The trail road surface was hardpack with a few washboard sections. We planned as if there were zero water options and that worked.
TLDR: Sunglasses are not optional.
10/10 would recommend.
