Went minimal on La Verkin Creek Trail. Here is what made the cut.
We went Kolob Canyons entry with overnight at creek starting at 4:45 AM. Fall colors added to the canyon experience. Well-defined trail with some creek crossings.
Gear that worked: Lip balm, Camp shoes, Lighter, Approach shoes.
Water shoes helpful for creek crossings.
Ratings: 5 overall, 4 difficulty, 5 scenery.
Bottom line: Sunglasses are not optional.
Plan accordingly.
