Gear that made the difference on White Rim:
We went Shafer start w/ a clockwise White Rim line starting at 5:35 AM. Dry air kept visibility sharp for most of the route. Most of the route was in stable shape w/ minor rough patches.
Gear that worked: Trekking poles, Knife, Gloves.
Extra water and shade layers mattered most out there.
Take what is useful.
