White Rim was my first serious permit and it was amazing.
We went Shafer switchbacks into classic White Rim viewpoints starting at 5:35 AM. Morning temps were cool and almost windless. Traction stayed good, but dust built up after each vehicle group.
The boring prep stuff matters.
