Here is what worked (and what did not) on Bright Angel Campground.
We went Rim to river via corridor trails w/ camp night starting at 5:35 AM. Spring and fall offered best temp range. Corridor trails well-maintained and signed.
Gear that worked: Rain jacket, Wide-brim hat, Compass, Wind shell.
Lightweight tent for established campground.
Bottom line: Break in boots at home.
Would do again in a heartbeat.
