The light on vermilion cliffs that morning was something else. We took cottonwood cove access to main formations with group of 2. Started around 6:25 am when similar to north, but generally quieter. The trail sand and slickrock mix, gps essential. Hot conditions required extra water capacity. Your mileage may vary.
