We had been planning Bright Angel Campground for months, and it finally happened.
The route was Rim to river via corridor trails with camp night. Summer heat made inner canyon challenging. Steep switchbacks require good pace management. We had light company on the trail.
Bottom line: Start earlier than you think.
Plan accordingly.
