Fauna notes from La Verkin Creek Trail.
We went Kolob Canyons entry w/ overnight at creek starting at 5:10 AM. Fall colors added to the canyon experience moderate difficulty, some elevation changes.
Wildlife/nature notes: Deer common along the creek corridor.
Days like this are why I hike.

- Trust the cairns.
- Backup headlamp batteries.
- Sunglasses are not optional.
- Tape hot spots before they blister.
- Study the route at home.
