Late start, late finish. Bright Angel Campground in the evening light.
We went South Kaibab to Bright Angel for variety starting at 6:00 AM. Inner canyon warmer than rim, plan layers. Steep switchbacks require good pace management.
Midday light was harsh but the shadows added drama.
