What start time works best for The Subway in February?

I have a The Subway permit day in Zion and I am debating before sunrise versus later. Route is Out-and-back through Left Fork from Wildcat Canyon side with a conservative pace. My main concerns are crowds and heat.

before sunrise is usually the move. Cooler temps and fewer bottlenecks give you room to adjust without burning extra water.
If you start later, be strict about breaks and turnaround time so you do not end up rushing the last stretch.
