Any gear you were glad you carried on The Wave?

Trying to keep pack weight low, but I do not want to miss the one thing that matters. Notes mention: light gaiters helped keep sand out during the hike out.. Route is Wire Pass route with waypoint checks at major slickrock turns.

Light gaiters helped keep sand out during the hike out. is a good call. The “glad I packed it” items are usually the ones that keep you moving when conditions are annoying.
My rule: keep one warm layer, one nav backup, and enough water capacity to handle a slow exit.
