Wildlife and food storage expectations for The Subway?

We saw notes like: saw mule deer on the drive in, nothing aggressive on trail.. For a The Subway permit day on Out-and-back through Left Fork from Wildcat Canyon side, anything we should do differently with food and trash?

Assume wildlife is around even if you do not see it. Keep snacks sealed, do not leave packs open, and pack out every crumb.
Most problems come from sloppy breaks, not from animals “being aggressive.”
