The Subway was my first serious permit and it was amazing.
We went Left Fork trailhead to the lower Subway section starting at 6:25 AM. Wind stayed light, which made the river sections easier to handle. Route finding was straightforward if we stayed on cairns and creek turns.
Short version: Break in boots at home.
That is the summary.
