The Wave field notes
- Crowds: packed.
- Crew: 5 people.
- Start: 5:10 AM.
- Route: Main Wave route with extra time for return navigation.
- Weather: Clear sky made timing simple and kept visibility high.
- Trail: Sand sections were soft but easy to follow with track lines.
- Water: No on-route water, so we packed the full day carry.
- Wildlife: Only saw small reptiles near warm rock faces.
- Gear that helped: Trekking poles, Wind shell, Electrolyte mix
TLDR: start early, keep water simple, and do not wing the map.

💡Tips from the Trip
💡
General
- •Keep snacks accessible so breaks stay short and clean.
- •Carry a small trash bag. You will find micro-trash.
- •Do not trust parking to work out at the last minute.
- •Start earlier than you think if you want space on the first mile.
- •Have a turnaround time before you get committed to the hardest section.
