Before you commit to The Wave, read this.
We went Wire Pass route with waypoint checks at major slickrock turns starting at 6:25 AM. Clear sky made timing simple and kept visibility high. Route markers lined up well, still worth checking maps often.
Key considerations: Bring the rain layer even if clear.
Overall 4/5. Difficulty 4/5. Scenery 5/5.
Short version: Backup headlamp batteries.
