Timed it for golden hour on The Subway. We went Out-and-back through Left Fork from Wildcat Canyon side starting at 5:10 AM. Cloud cover held until late morning and kept the slickrock from baking. Rock steps were stable, with a few muddy pockets by the creek. Soft overcast made for even exposure all day. Quick scores: overall=4, difficulty=5, views=4 Miles are earned, not given. Quick notes: - Carry a small trash bag. - Slow down on muddy sections. - Poles help more than you think. - Tape hot spots before they blister. - Pack a dry layer.
