Animal encounters made the wave special.
We went wire pass route w/ waypoint checks at major slickrock turns starting at 6:00 am. Wind stayed mild and made exposed sections feel easier. Slickrock footing was solid where it stayed dry.
Wildlife/nature notes: only saw small reptiles near warm rock faces.
Bottom line: extra socks change everything.
Some trips stay w/ you.
