Late start, late finish. The Subway in the evening light. We went Left Fork approach with a quick weather check at dawn starting at 6:00 AM. Cool morning air helped us move fast before the canyon warmed up. Footing was solid on the dry benches and a little slick near water lines. Midday light was harsh but the shadows added drama. TLDR: Know the bail-out options. Check conditions before you go. Quick notes: - Count your miles. - Know the bail-out options. - Phone battery backup.
