Here is what worked (and what did not) on The Subway.
We went Left Fork approach w/ a quick weather check at dawn starting at 6:25 AM. Cloud cover held until late morning and kept the slickrock from baking. Rock steps were stable, w/ a few muddy pockets by the creek.
Gear that worked: InReach, Compass, Offline maps, Soft flasks.
Neoprene socks and poles were the most useful items for this one.
Overall 4/5. Difficulty 5/5. Scenery 5/5.
TLDR: Start earlier than you think.
Preparation is everything.
