Went minimal on The Subway. Here is what made the cut.
We went Left Fork approach with a quick weather check at dawn starting at 4:45 AM. Wind stayed light, which made the river sections easier to handle. Footing was solid on the dry benches and a little slick near water lines.
Gear that worked: Buff, Base layer, InReach.
A dry bag and warm layer were worth carrying even on a short day.
Short version: Do not trust parking to work out.
Grateful for this one.
