Base weight check before The Subway: We went Left Fork trailhead to the lower Subway section starting at 6:25 AM. Cloud cover held until late morning and kept the slickrock from baking. Route finding was straightforward if we stayed on cairns and creek turns. Gear that worked: Compass, Hiking boots. Neoprene socks and poles were the most useful items for this one. Ratings: 5 overall, 3 difficulty, 5 scenery. Would do again in a heartbeat.
