- Route: Left Fork approach with a quick weather check at dawn
- Weather: Wind stayed light, which made the river sections easier to handle.
- Trail: Footing was solid on the dry benches and a little slick near water lines.
- Water: Creek flow was moderate and easy to cross with poles.
- Crowds: light
