Before you commit to Grand Canyon Rim to River, read this.
We went South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area starting at 5:35 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Key considerations: Keep snacks accessible.
TLDR: Slow down on muddy sections.
Grateful for this one.
