Wildflowers were peaking on The Wave. We went Classic out-and-back from Wire Pass before heat builds starting at 6:50 AM. Cold start turned into warm sun by mid-morning. Slickrock footing was solid where it stayed dry. Wildlife/nature notes: Only saw small reptiles near warm rock faces. Overall 4/5. Difficulty 3/5. Scenery 5/5. Bottom line: Physical map as backup. Grateful for this one.
