Pre-dawn start on Grand Canyon Rim to River.
We went South Kaibab descent w/ one night at Bright Angel area starting at 6:00 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Golden hour delivered.
Bottom line: Know the signs of altitude.
Do your homework first.
