The Wave was my first serious permit and it was amazing.
We went Wire Pass route with waypoint checks at major slickrock turns starting at 6:50 AM. Clear sky made timing simple and kept visibility high. Slickrock footing was solid where it stayed dry.
Bottom line: Break in boots at home.
The kind of day that resets perspective.
