Timeline and stats from Grand Canyon Rim to River: - Route: Bright Angel down to river camps w/ a South Kaibab exit - Weather: Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. - Trail: Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees. - Water: Water points were open, but we still carried backup capacity. - Crowds: empty Ratings: 5 overall, 5 difficulty, 4 scenery. Bottom line: Do not trust parking to work out. Days like this are why I hike.
