Some guidance for anyone planning Grand Canyon Rim to River.
We went Bright Angel down to river camps w/ a South Kaibab exit starting at 4:45 AM. Rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Key considerations: Pack a dry layer.
Worth every bit of effort...
