I have wanted to do Grand Canyon Rim to River for years. We took South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area with 5 people. Started around 6:50 AM when rim started cold and the canyon floor warmed up by late morning. The trail stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees. Tap lines moved quickly, still worth filling before exposed climbs. Do your homework first. Quick notes: - Backup headlamp batteries. - Know where water is. - First aid kit is mandatory. - Bring the rain layer even if clear. - Tape hot spots before they blister...
