Weather window analysis for the subway:
we went left fork trailhead to the lower subway section starting at 4:45 am. Wind stayed light, which made the river sections easier to handle. Rock steps were stable, w/ a few muddy pockets by the creek.
Overall 5/5. Difficulty 4/5. Scenery 4/5.
Would do again in a heartbeat.
