Base weight check before Grand Canyon Rim to River: We went Bright Angel down to river camps with a South Kaibab exit starting at 6:00 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day. Gear that worked: InReach, Hiking boots, Gaiters. Sun shirt and electrolyte packets carried the second half of the day. You got this.
