Here is what worked (and what did not) on Grand Canyon Rim to River.
We went North Kaibab to inner canyon camp w/ a next-day climb out starting at 5:10 AM. Clear skies gave us big temp swings between rim and river. Stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.
Gear that worked: Offline maps, InReach.
Sun shirt and electrolyte packets carried the second half of the day.
