Grand canyon rim to river by the numbers:
route: north kaibab to inner canyon camp w/ a next-day climb out. Weather: clear skies gave us big temp swings between rim and river.. Trail: stone steps were dry by mid-morning but still rough on knees.. Water: water points were open, but we still carried backup capacity.. Crowds: crowded.
