Late start, late finish. Grand Canyon Rim to River in the evening light.
We went South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area starting at 5:35 AM. Clear skies gave us big temperature swings between rim and river. Upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them.
Light was best in the first two hours.
The boring prep stuff matters.
