Pre-dawn start on the subway.
We went left fork trailhead to the lower subway section starting at 4:45 am. Cloud cover held until late morning and kept the slickrock from baking. Route finding was straightforward if we stayed on cairns and creek turns.
Light was best in the first two hrs.
