We had been planning Grand Canyon Rim to River for months, and it finally happened.
The route was South Kaibab descent with one night at Bright Angel area. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day we had light company on the trail.
Preparation is everything.
