Just got back from The Wave and wrote this while it is still fresh. We went Wire Pass trailhead out and back with a 2 people and started around 6:50 AM.
Weather: Clear and very hot Trail: Dry sand and slickrock Water: No water on route
We kept the permit handy and it saved time when someone asked to see it.
It was better than the spreadsheet said it would be.
The short version: start early and keep layers simple.
If I did it again, I would: Pack a dry layer even if the forecast looks perfect.
