Thru-hiker perspective on The Subway.
We went Left Fork trailhead to the lower Subway section starting at 5:10 AM. Cloud cover held until late morning and kept the slickrock from baking. Rock steps were stable, with a few muddy pockets by the creek.
Just show up ready.
