Grand canyon rim to river by the numbers:
route: bright angel down to river camps w/ a south kaibab exit. Weather: clear skies gave us big temp swings between rim and river.. Trail: upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them.. Water: we treated every water stop as optional and stayed over-prepared.. Crowds: packed.
