Sharing some Grand Canyon Rim to River thoughts while they are fresh.
We went Bright Angel down to river camps with a South Kaibab exit starting at 6:50 AM. Clear skies gave us big temperature swings between rim and river. Upper switchbacks held some icy patches before sun hit them.
Do your homework first.
