Squeezed Grand Canyon Rim to River into a weekend.
We went Bright Angel down to river camps w/ a South Kaibab exit starting at 6:25 AM. Wind on exposed ridges eased after sunrise and made pacing simple. Main corridor tread was firm and easy to follow all day.
TLDR: Tell someone your plan.
Preparation is everything.
